Timothy O’Brien is a Managing Director in the Equity Research Department of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P., where he covers West Coast community banks. Mr. O’Brien joined Sandler O’Neill in 2004 after five years in investment management work with the California State Treasurer’s Office and the City of Oakland, California. Prior to this, he served on the executive staff of the California State Controller. Mr. O’Brien holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
