Kevin Fitzsimmons

Kevin Fitzsimmons is a Managing Director in the Research Department of Sandler O'Neill + Partners, L.P. He covers a group of large- and mid-cap Southeastern regional banks. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2003, Mr. Fitzsimmons worked for two years at Prudential Securities and two years at Credit Suisse First Boston on those firms’ respective bank research teams. Before joining Credit Suisse First Boston in 1998, Mr. Fitzsimmons worked for more than three years as a commercial bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and served four years as an officer in the United States Navy.

The Wall Street Journal ranked Mr. Fitzsimmons as the No. 1 commercial banking analyst in its 2008 "Best on the Street" survey based on stock picking results. Mr. Fitzsimmons holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Notre Dame.
