Christopher Howley

Managing Director, Structured Finance Group

Chris Howley is a Managing Director in the Structured Finance Group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. He has 17 years of fixed income experience, providing structured finance solutions for banks, insurance and asset management companies. He most recently served as a Managing Director for ICP Capital within the firm’s Advisory & Solutions group.

Prior to joining ICP Capital in 2007, Mr. Howley was a Director at Societe Generale in New York, where he was responsible for the origination and structuring of cash and synthetic structured investment products. Mr. Howley began his career at Standard and Poor’s, where worked for 12 years on a variety of fixed income instruments including asset-backed securities, municipal obligations, tender option bond programs, commercial paper transactions, interest rate, currency and total rate of return swaps, and other cash and synthetic products. He ultimately served as Managing Director of the company’s Alternative Assets Group.

Mr. Howley holds a Juris Doctor from the George Washington University National Law Center in May 1993 and is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics and Philosophy in 1990 from Villanova University, which he attended as a Presidential Scholar on full academic scholarship.
