Christopher J. DeCresce is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. Mr. DeCresce primarily focuses on capital raising transactions for financial institutions. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2006, he was a senior associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York City and London, where he gained extensive experience in general corporate, regulatory and securities matters across many business sectors.
Mr. DeCresce is an integral member of Sandler O’Neill’s capital markets practice and in 2010 and 2011, he successfully executed transactions that raised over $1 billion combined for Sandler O’Neill clients. Mr. DeCresce’s recent transactions include private placements that raised $460 million for Opus Bank, $265 million for Community & Southern Bank and $150 million for First National Bank of the Gulf Coast.
Mr. DeCresce holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where he was Executive Editor of the New York Law School Law Review. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from The City University of New York. Mr. DeCresce is a member of the Advancement Committee at St. Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City and coaches youth baseball and football.
