Jeffrey D. Jones is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group of Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P. Based in the firm’s Chicago office, he is responsible for providing merger and acquisition, capital raising and strategic planning advice for Midwestern banks and thrifts. He has also advised on a number of non-bank financial services companies, including those in the asset management, derivatives and derivatives clearing, and financial technology sectors.
Mr. Jones has over a decade of experience and has advised on more than $11 billion in completed transactions for banks, thrifts and other financial services companies. His transaction experience includes First Indiana Corp.’s acquisition by M&I Corp, Lincoln Bancorp’s sale to First Merchants Corporation and MutualFirst Financial’s acquisition of MFB Corp. He has also led capital issuances for several companies, including Old National Bancorp and HF Financial Corp.
Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2003, Mr. Jones spent several years in the Investment Banking Group at Lehman Brothers with a focus on Midwestern financial institutions. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, he was an Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Mr. Jones holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University.
